International Women’s Day at EcoKinly - Annual Period Pad Donation

Reusables With Purpose

At EcoKinly, International Women’s Day is more than a moment of recognition, it’s a moment of action.

Each year on this day, we reaffirm our commitment to tackling period poverty by donating reusable period care products to those who need them most. Because access to period care should never determine whether a girl attends school, a woman participates in work, or someone can move through the world with dignity.

The Reality of Period Poverty

Globally, an estimated 500 million women and girls are affected by period poverty. The impact is profound and often invisible.

Without reliable access to period products, girls can miss up to 20% of the school year. Many women face barriers to participating fully in education, work, and community life simply because they lack access to basic menstrual care.

Period care is not a luxury it is essential healthcare and a fundamental part of equality.

Why Reusable Period Care Matters

Reusable period care offers a powerful and lasting solution.

Unlike single-use products that must be continually purchased, reusable period products provide long-term access, sustainability, and dignity. A well-designed reusable product can last for years, reducing both environmental waste and the ongoing financial burden of period care.

Turning Consumer Support Into Social Impact

This year, thanks to our retailer presales in the last two weeks and our soft launch through The Nappy Market, EcoKinly is donating 57 reusable period care pads to charity.

Every single one of those pads represents the support of our early customers and retail partners. Your belief in reusable products is helping us turn consumer empowerment into social impact.

To everyone who supported our launch — thank you. Your purchase is helping create real change.

Looking Ahead

This is just the beginning.

Our goal is simple: to build products and systems that don’t just reduce waste, but actively remove barriers. Our period products have a built in promise - every pack sold include a donated pad, together with our customers we power social impact

Today we’re donating 57 pads. Next year, we want that number to be significantly higher.

Because dignity, access, and equality should never depend on whether someone can afford period care.

And at EcoKinly, we believe reusable products can help change that.
