Just like a disposable pad - except you wash and reuse them. Place the pad in your underwear with the soft fleece side facing your body, snap is closed underneath your underwear, the waterproof layer contains all moisture.

2. Are EcoKinly Period Pads waterproof?
Yes. Each pad has a waterproof recycled PUL layer designed to prevent leaks through to your underwear.

3. Which absorbency should I choose?
Choose based on your normal flow. Light Flow pads contain two layers of absorbent bamboo, while Heavy Flow pads contain three layers for additional protection. Many people find a combination useful across the different days of their period.

4. How often should I change a reusable period pad?
This depends on your individual flow, just as it does with disposable pads. Change your pad when it feels necessary or becomes saturated. You'll quickly learn what works for your body and your cycle. For most women, pads are changed every 4-6 hours. 

5. How many reusable period pads do I need?
6- 9 pads with a variety of light flow and heavy flow would be enough to manage your cycle. Period pads can be washed and reused for several years. 

6. How do I wash reusable period pads?
After use, wash with your normal laundry using your usual detergent, following the EcoKinly care instructions, and allow to dry fully before using again.

7. What do I do with a used pad when I'm away from home?
Fold the pad in on itself, snap it closed and store it in a small wet bag until you get home. No bin required.

8. Can I use reusable pads overnight?
Yes. Choose heavy flow pads for overnight use. 

9. Do I have to switch completely to reusable period products?
Absolutely not. Reusable doesn't have to be all or nothing. Start with one pad, one day of your period or when you're at home. Every disposable pad you replace is one less single-use product.

How do reusable period pads work?

They're ideal for lighter-flow days or whenever you need lighter protection. They can also be used for irregular spotting out of cycle. 

Heavy Flow

They're designed for heavier-flow days and when you need greater absorbency.

Many people choose a mixture of Light and Heavy pads so they can adjust their protection throughout their period.

Will reusable period pads leak?

EcoKinly pads have been designed with both absorbency and leak protection in mind.

The bamboo layers absorb your flow, while the recycled PUL layer provides a waterproof barrier underneath.

1. Throw your pads directly to the washing machine and wash as normal at 40 degrees.
2. If your not ready to wash straight away and need to store for a day or 2 before washing, give the pad a cool rinse under the tap and then fold closed until wash day. 
3. Allow the pad to dry completely.
4. Put it away ready for your next period.

Avoid using fabric softener, as this can coat absorbent fibres and reduce their ability to absorb effectively over time.

Once you've established a routine, reusable period pads simply become another washable item.

How do I use reusable period pads when I'm out?

Bring your clean pads with you and use them exactly as you normally would.
